Booked in four minutes, not four emails
Pick your dates
The calendar shows what each van is genuinely doing, servicing days included. Nothing is held back for phone bookings.
Pay £100 to hold it
The same whatever you book, by card through Stripe, and not refundable. The rest falls due 21 days before you collect, and we email you first.
We get it ready
Full gas bottle, full tank of fuel, tyres checked. You bring your own bedding.
Collect and go
Half an hour of handover, 3pm to 6pm. Leave your car in the yard for the whole hire, gated and on CCTV, at no charge. Back with us by 9am to 11am on the day you return.

Everything to cook with
Pans, plates, mugs, cutlery, a kettle, a washing up bowl and a full gas bottle. You bring food, clothes and your own bedding.

Breakdown cover, UK wide
Roadside, recovery and homestart. If we cannot get you moving the same day, we come out with another van.
Insurance for one driver
Fully comprehensive, 23 to 75, with a £1,500 excess. Ring us if you need a second name on the policy.
A full tank to start
Full tank of fuel and a full gas bottle. Bring the fuel back full and there is nothing to settle.

Read all of themHow much do I pay to book?
A booking deposit of £100, by card, at the moment you book. It is the same whichever van you take and however long for, it comes off the total, and it is not refundable. The balance falls due 21 days before you collect, and we email a payment link a week before that. Book later than that and the balance is due straight away. Book within 7 days of collecting and there is no deposit stage at all: the whole hire is paid in one go at checkout, because there is no time left to invoice it.
Is there anything else to pay?
A cleaning and turnaround charge of £40, once per booking whatever the van and however long for: the van is valeted inside and out, the bedding washed and the tanks flushed between every hire. It is on the price you are quoted, not added afterwards. Then a refundable security deposit of £500, taken with the balance rather than at the counter, and returned within 5 working days of the van coming back undamaged. So if you paid a booking deposit it comes with the balance 21 days before you collect, and if you settled the hire in one go it was taken then. Nothing is taken from it without a photo and an explanation. Fuel too, if you bring it back short: see below.
Can I cancel?
More than 21 days out, you lose the £100 booking deposit and nothing else. Inside that, the balance has already been taken and we refund whatever we manage to re-let the dates for. We would rather move your dates than keep your money, so ask.
Is there a minimum stay?
3 nights for most of the year, and 5 nights through the peak season, 1 July to 31 August. The calendar will not let you pick a shorter run, so you cannot book one by accident.
What licence do I need?
An ordinary category B car licence covers everything we hire, because none of it is over 3,500kg. You need to be 23 to 75 and to have held the licence for 2 years. Bring the plastic card and a DVLA check code.
Are they hard to drive?
The Transporters drive like a tall estate car. Ultimate is longer and taller, so the first hour takes concentration and then it stops being a thing. We walk you round the dimensions at handover, whichever one you take.
