Ruby
Volkswagen T25, Holdsworth Villa 3 conversion, 1987
Ruby is the classic, and the one people book twice. A 1987 T25 with a Holdsworth Villa 3 conversion, in burgundy, with fifty thousand miles on her from new. Curtains rather than blinds, a front seat that rotates round to the table, a gas heater and a three way fridge that keeps going on gas when there is no power to be had. She also has her own loo, which the modern vans do not. She is slower than the Transporters and she is meant to be: you will stop more, and people will talk to you at every one of those stops.
- LowNovember to late March£85
